It’s pretty safe to say that it’s almost every girl’s dream to visit Paris- the city of love. This beautiful city has so much to offer! Here is a list of places that I feel are worth the visit if you’re on a short few-day-agenda:
1. Moulin Rouge
You may have seen the tear-jearking romance musical film “Moulin Rouge!” starring Ewan McGregor as the hopeless romantic poet and Nicole Kidman as the celebrity courtesan. If you’re as obsessed with the movie as I am, then visiting the red windmill might be an ideal stop for you! The movie is based off a fictional story which takes place in this majestic dance hall. Various shows are offered showcasing sparkly and feathery costumes made by the most outstanding Parisian workshops. More info here.
Whether you watch the show or not, the iconic red windmill is worth the stop.
Surely, I am stating the obvious because everyone knows that the Eiffel Tour is a must when you’re in Paris. Depending on the time of the day, the month of the year, and the weather upon visit, the tour can give a varying sensational experience. I strongly believe that the tower should be visited once both day and night; it’s the same building but the beauty is expressed differently. The exciting part about a winter visit is that I was able to ice-skate on the first floor! The tower is located a few minutes by foot from the Seine River, so perhaps you can do a boat tour or just walk over for a quick selfie or two.
3. The Parisian Streets
From the boutique stores to the street lamps… every little detail in Paris made me fall more and more in love. Anything you do in Paris could feel extra romantic. You can be lonely as one can be in a cafe, sitting by the window watching the snow fall while you sip on your hot cappuccino- it will still be romantic… Paris just has that ability to romance you.
5. The Louvre/Musée du Louvre
Take as many silly photos as you want outside the Lourve! Don’t be afraid because everyone is doing the same. You will not be the only one that tries to take an illusion photo of you touching the tip of the pyramid. For Lourve’s website click here.
5. Place du Carrousel/La Grand Roue
There are many photo opportunities in Place du Carrousel, It is located near La Grand Roue Ferris Wheel at Place de la Concorde and the Lourve. The wheel is 12 euros for adults and 6 for children. It’s worth it if you want to capture some of the best views of the city!
