Experience a day at the desert at the Arabian Nights Village. Visitors can choose to attend a half-day or overnight safari for different prices. Various activities are included along with the booking prices, like dune dashing in a 4×4, swimming pool, camel riding, henna painting, and sand surfing. Dinner and breakfast are also included in the overnight safari prices. During dinner enjoy Arabic singing and belly dancing performances. Quad riding, and Arabic Photobooth are available for additional charges.
As for accommodation, a total of 5 of us stayed at the Al Manhal Fort Tower Suite. This suite included a master suite and two double bedrooms. The 2-flight suite was spacey and well decorated- the capacity is up to 6 guests. There was a bathroom in each bedroom so there is no need to fight over the shower.
Campfire packages can be purchased after dinner. For 400 dirhams, the package includes 3 shishas (hookah), and unlimited firewood, tea, and coffee until 11pm. The service for this activity is really slow so I don’t really recommend it. However, late at night outdoors in the desert is the best place and time to look up at the sky. I’ve never seen so many thousands of stars clustered all together… not a typical scene for a girl like me from New York City.
Location: The desert is hard to find, so there is a standard pick-up and drop-off location.
