The Oldest Amusement Park in the World

Bakken is the oldest operating amusement park in the world; it was first opened in 1583. Visiting times of the park listed on Google are unreliable- I’m not even sure if it’s opened in the winter as it states it is online. I visited on a Tuesday in early December around 12:30pm and everything was closed.

However a little red door at the entrance of the park was unlocked. I took that as an invitation to step inside. I’ve never been to an amusement park during closing hours. It was spooky yet exciting to walk across an empty carnival alone… the smiling pictures of clowns and noisy wind sent chills down my spine.

I felt like I was in a scary movie, maybe the curious female solo-traveler that stumbled across an abandoned amusement park. She wanted to take cute selfies so she snuck inside. She found herself walking in circles and was unable to find her way out. She was lost. It was getting dark. And then she heard a laughing clown. She tripped. The clown killed her. She now haunts children at the park.

The End. Haha.
