Hemingway Bar is a well-decorated and intimate bar in Prague. This place was packed when I arrived. My party of 4 sat down on comfortable sofas, and to my left was an old fashion typewriter on display. It was elegant yet causal. There was a list of 20 specialty cocktails on the drink menu, and my group decided we wanted to try at least half of them.
Shown on the featured photo up top are the Eau de Cocktails; the black label for men, and the white label for women. These cocktails are served in perfume bottles to match their names. The presentation is entertaining, and the drink tasted so pretty.
My first drink was the BBQ Mary; this was made with mezcal, lemon juice, tomato juice, barbecue sauce, and other spices. The drink came with a piece of bacon on the side topped with dijon mustard. This was my first time having a bloody mary with mezcal instead of vodka. The mezcal gives the drink smokey notes and the hint of barbecue tastes compliments the drink so well. I recommend this drink to all bloody mary and mezcal lovers.
Other one of my favorite drink is the Hulky Smash. This contains absinthe, homemade Velvet Falernum, lemon juice, cucumber juice, grapes, mint, and topped with licorice candies.
Location: Karoliny Světlé 279/26, 110 00 Praha 1-Staré Město, Czech Republic
Cost: The specialty cocktails cost average around $7-$10. Definitely worth the money if you ask me.
