Cafe Savoy, Prague

Cafe Savoy is an upscale French cafe. The prices here are higher than usual compared to Prague standards. I came here for breakfast and I ordered the English Breakfast. It came with sausage, bacon, baked beans, and portobello mushroom. The meal also comes with fresh orange juice and a coffee/tea. I didn’t think the food was worth it. It tasted average and the portion was small- though it came with some bread to help fill your stomach. My friend got the Healthy Breakfast, which didn’t seem filling but his meal was definitely more unique than mine. It was oats, cornflakes, coconut flakes topped with fresh fruits (mangoes, pineapples, strawberries, etc.) and yogurt. It was really good and the presentation was amazing.

Once you walk in you’ll see the bar/bread station.

What stood out to me here is the bread. The bread served here are fresh and unbelievably delicious! My favorite one was the sunflower seeds bread; it was light and delightful. You can taste seeds in every bite! I wish I can find this bread back home in New York…

Location: Vítězná 124/5, 150 00 Praha 5, Czech Republic

Service: Eh. My waitress was confusing our orders even though she wrote everything down on her writing pad.

Cost: I spent around $16 dollars on my English Breakfast that I wasn’t very impressed with.

Side note: This place is great for business lunches in my opinion. I saw quite some businessmen hanging around with binders and papers.
